2022 BULL CITY SUMMIT ARTS GRANT PROGRAM

BCS is excited to announce our 2022 Bull City Summit Arts Grant Program, in partnership with Durham Arts Council and Love Tito’s. BCS application artists in various categories (i.e photography, mural, graffiti, etc.) can submit their work for a chance to be awarded one of five cash microgrants.

Apply on the BCS Applications page with your information, and include a brief description of how you will use the award money to further your art career through social justice. Submitted artists will be juried by Durham Arts Council, with participating local art organizations nominating award winners.

Founded in 2001, Liberty Arts is a 501(c)(3) non‐profit corporation dedicated to making art accessible to everyone in the Durham community, with both a studio collective of artists on Pearl Street and a foundry at Durham Central Park. For over two decades, Liberty Arts artists have made some of the most iconic sculptures in Durham, the highlight of which is Major The Bull, located in the heart of downtown, and have taught more than 2,600 individual students of all ages. This episode features Emily Wismer, Liberty Arts Letterpress & President of the Board, and Stephanie Minor, Studio Manager, as they provide a history of one of the City's most influential community arts organizations.
